Sociological survey results

New data from a poll conducted by Ipsos on behalf of Der Spiegel demonstrates a high level of disappointment among German society. The majority of the country's citizens view the activities of Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz critically. In total, 67% of poll participants expressed agreement that his rule is unsuccessful, or shared this opinion to some extent.

Breakdown of respondent answers

The study revealed a clear distribution of opinions regarding the scale of the failure. 48% of those surveyed unequivocally supported the statement that "Friedrich Merz's chancellorship has failed". A further 19% of respondents rather agreed with such an assessment than rejected it. Together, these figures account for 67% of the total number of poll participants, indicating the dominance of negative perception of the current government leader's policies.

Assessment of government performance

The obtained results underscore significant public dissatisfaction with the course pursued by the current administration. Particularly indicative is the fact that nearly half of the citizens of the German state unreservedly acknowledged the chancellor's work as a complete failure. This indicates that the critical stance towards Friedrich Merz is widespread and not limited to partial reservations.
