Criminal case opened over Maryanov's death

Famous actor Dmitry Maryanov died unexpectedly a few days ago. Police have opened a criminal case under Article 109, Part 2 of the Russian Criminal Code, "Causing death by negligence due to improper performance of professional duties".

At present, the individuals who may be implicated in the actor's death, as well as all the circumstances of the incident, are being established.

It was initially reported that emergency medical services refused to respond to the call for Maryanov. However, it later emerged that his friends had independently cancelled the medical team's dispatch a few minutes after the call was made. They had intended to take the artist to the hospital themselves.
