Court hearings and new case details

During the consideration of a motion to select a preventive measure for one of the defendants in the high-profile 'Carthage' case — Vitaliy Rybalko, known by the nickname "Boxer", the court was presented with audio recordings containing details of the planning of Andriy Osipov's birthday celebration. Osipov is known in criminal circles as "Criminal" and has three criminal convictions.

Party concept and theme selection

It emerged that the defendants have known each other for a long time and committed criminal offences together, including beatings and torture. At the same time, they discussed the format of the celebration in detail. This was reported by the "MEZHA" Anti-Corruption Centre.

The prosecutor read out fragments of conversations in court where the men were choosing the concept for the event. One of the participants in the dialogue stated:

«Добрає утра, па канцепции празніка точно будут адні мущіни» (Good morning, according to the party concept, there will definitely be only men).

Osipov himself proposed several decoration options:

«Можна тєма тіпа в самальотє, прікольно. Можно 007, но думаю будєт ета всьо пєрєбор» (We can do a theme like on a plane, that's cool. We can do 007, but I think that would be too much).

"Criminal Airlines" invitations and guest list

A separate issue was the discussion of invitations for the event participants. It was decided to send them in the form of festive airline tickets under the name "Criminal Airlines". The total number of invitees was 35 people. Rybalko was listed first on the list.

Defendants' criminal past

We remind you that Andriy Osipov was a co-founder of a criminal organisation together with Yehor Levchenko (Burkin), known by the nickname "Mexican". Members of this group were involved in drug trafficking, as well as physical violence, beatings, and torture of victims. "Boxer" was specifically responsible for the direct execution of such "tasks".

After one of the episodes of violence, Rybalko reported on the results of his activities:

«Братан ну чьо, сдєлалі там тьолка била проста што люді... храпіт карочє, нармальна» (Bro, well, we did it, the aunt was just beaten because people... snore, in short, she's normal).
