Farewell to colleagues

The Ukrainian media community has lost an experienced professional. Renowned producer Andriy Kanivets has died at the age of 48. The cause of death was illness.

Media manager and producer Denys Denk announced the tragic news. He shared his memories on the social network Facebook.

«Це була найщиріша і найдобріша людина, професіонал своєї справи, на якого завжди впевнено можна було покластись і він ніколи не підводив. Але його підвело здоров’я. Андрій завжди знаходив вірні слова і рішення, завжди підтримував колег і зігрівав своєю теплою дружньою посмішкою» (He was the most sincere and kindest person, a professional in his field, someone you could always confidently rely on and who never let you down. But his health failed him. Andriy always found the right words and solutions, always supported his colleagues and warmed them with his warm, friendly smile), wrote Denys Denk.

Personal life

As Denys Denk noted, Andriy Kanivets was left to raise his daughter Anna alone after the loss of his wife.

На жаль, дівчина тепер залишилась без батьків» (He constantly took pride in her achievements in creativity and studies. He always supported her, trying to give her a worthy education. Anna herself, who professionally makes theatrical wigs, was deeply affected by this loss. She reported that her father died on 27 September.

Professional path

Andriy Kanivets had significant experience in the television industry. From 2003 to 2010, he worked at the Inter TV channel. Among his key projects during that time were the linear production of two films for the "Great Ukrainians" project, dedicated to Vyacheslav Chornovil and Yaroslav the Wise.

The next stage of his career fell in 2010–2012, when Kanivets worked at the First National TV channel (now the First Channel of Suspilne).

From 2013 to 2016, the professional worked at the UBR TV channel. Later, he continued his professional activities at 112 Ukraine (2017–2021) and the Live TV channel (2021–2022).
