Security service warns court of danger

A prosecutor from the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) informed that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) sent a letter to the Higher Anti-Corruption Court (VACS). The document mentions a threat of a terrorist act that may occur during the hearing in the criminal proceedings concerning General Duka.

Decision on closed-door hearings

According to the information, the case review is planned to be conducted without the presence of mass media representatives.

Prosecutor requests judge's recusal

In connection with the exclusion of journalists from the hearing, the SAPO prosecutor requested the recusal of Judge Voronko. He also noted that the defence is deliberately dragging out the process. According to the prosecutor, such actions aim to prevent the court from selecting a preventive measure within the established 72-hour deadline.
