Charges against a minor
The Buchan police department has officially charged 14-year-old Andriy Pekur with assaulting a law enforcement officer. This occurred despite the teenager previously claiming that he was beaten by people in uniform at the "Azov" building in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka.
Parent's version and timeline discrepancy
Journalist Rostyslav Shaposhnikov provided details of the situation, publishing excerpts from correspondence with the boy's father. The correspondence screenshots indicate that the police specify the time of the assault on the law enforcement officer as 16:00. Meanwhile, the teenager's father claims that Andriy arrived at the location of the action only after 19:00, and that at the time specified by the police, the child was at school.
Issues with medical documents
The teenager's father also expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of a medical worker. He stated that the doctor incorrectly established the diagnosis and entered formal records in the medical documents that do not correspond to reality.
«Бучанское отделение полиции обвиняет мальчишку в нападении на полицейского, хотя в это время ребенок находился в школе. Врач не поставил правильный диагноз, написал для отписки Бог знает что. Ребенка выставляют как нападавшего на полицейского, хотя все видели, к какому состоянию его привели Буданов и те, кто "заботились" о его состоянии» (The Buchan police station accuses the boy of assaulting a police officer, although at that time the child was at school. The doctor did not make the correct diagnosis, wrote God knows what for the sake of formality. The child is being presented as an attacker of a police officer, although everyone saw what condition Budanov and those who "cared" for his condition brought him to), — the journalist emphasised in his post.
