The court sentenced the most active participant in the crime to four years of imprisonment. Two other accomplices received sentences of 3.5 years in prison each.
According to the investigation materials, the attackers initially insulted two 17-year-old Ukrainians, focusing on their ethnic origin. After verbal abuse, the aggressors resorted to physical violence, striking the victims with their hands and feet.
During the attack, the perpetrators seized the victims' personal property: money, mobile phones, documents, and other items.
The situation escalated when the attackers put the victims in a taxi and drove them to a dormitory. One of the boys was forced to find 70,000 crowns. The other was left on the premises as a de facto hostage.
Throughout the period of detention, the victim continued to be beaten. The aggressors threatened to cut off his fingers if the demanded sum of money was not found. The violent acts ceased only after the arrival of the city police.
