In Canada, an inmate ordered McDonald's to his cell using a drone

In Canada, an inmate at a maximum-security facility received a delivery of food and alcohol directly to his cell via an unmanned aerial vehicle.

According to available information, the drone flew past the guard towers and delivered McDonald's bags to the cell window. Inside were chicken nuggets, French fries and strong alcohol.

The following morning, facility staff found the inmate showing signs of severe alcohol intoxication. Remnants of the delivered food were also left nearby.

The prison administration has launched an investigation to determine how the drone managed to deliver prohibited items onto the facility's premises and avoid detection by security.
