Restrictions on vehicle refuelling

Restrictions on the sale of automotive fuel have been introduced in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Region. By decision of the regional headquarters, no more than 40 litres of petrol can be purchased per vehicle per refuelling session at petrol stations.

According to the regional government's press service, these measures have been taken to maintain the stable operation of the petrol station network. The restrictions apply exclusively to petrol; the sale of diesel fuel remains unchanged.

Ban on dispensing into containers

In addition to the refuelling volume limit, the sale of petrol in jerrycans and other containers has been banned in the region.

Governor's comment

Gleb Nikitin, Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, stated that an industrial enterprise in the city of Kstovo sustained significant damage as a result of a drone attack. It is likely that this refers to the Kstovsky Oil Refinery, which became the target of the UAV strike.
