High IQ does not guarantee effectiveness at work

Researchers analysed data from over 109,000 employees and established that the link between intelligence test scores and work productivity is more than twice as weak as previously thought.

Intelligence level remains one of the factors influencing professional outcomes, but it does not determine them independently. Practical skills, work habits, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others also play a significant role.
