Macron urges Europe to actively explore AI

French President Emmanuel Macron emphasised the importance of artificial intelligence in ensuring the future independence of nations, stating that Europe needs to act more decisively to avoid falling behind in a context of global competition. In his speech, he noted that Europe's future depends on whether it can master and develop AI technologies in time.

In his view, if Europe does not accelerate its efforts in this field, it risks losing control and competitiveness on the global stage.

"It is time to act faster, because AI is no longer just about innovation, but a matter of independence," the French president stated. He noted that the battle in the field of artificial intelligence should not be reduced to a confrontation between the US and China.

Macron called for greater economic and patriotic unity in Europe. According to him, if Europe takes on this challenge, it will gain advantages in global competition. He also emphasised the need to support and develop French and European AI technologies, regardless of where they emerge.

The French president also announced plans to make his country a leader in artificial intelligence on the continent. Specifically, he pledged to increase the number of specialists in this field from 40,000 to 100,000 by 2030. "When the world accelerates, you cannot afford to slow down," Macron concluded.
