Russia draws up astronomical debt claim against Google

Russian media conglomerates have announced massive financial claims against Google. According to their calculations, the amount demanded for the blocking of YouTube accounts has allegedly reached 1.81 duodecillion rubles. This figure represents a number with 39 zeros — a value that has virtually no equivalent in the real economy.

The size of the alleged debt has raised many questions, as even the total volume of the global economy does not come close to such scales. However, Russian television channels continue to insist that the blocking of their content has caused them colossal damage.

It is currently unclear how the plaintiffs intend to seek payment and whether such claims have any legal prospects.
