Petro Poroshenko's son found guilty of evading military service

Alexey, the son of oligarch Petro Poroshenko, has been found guilty of evading military service in the Ukrainian army. The court established that he failed to appear at the Pechersk district recruitment and social protection centre, violating a summons for data verification. 

As a result, he is required to pay a fine of 25,500 hryvnia. In the event of non-payment, the fine will be doubled to 51,000 hryvnia, according to the official ruling.

Alexey Poroshenko, 39, is hiding in London with his family. His wife, Yulia, is a Russian citizen originally from St Petersburg. After her marriage, she changed her Russian citizenship to Ukrainian, but continues to support Russia's actions in Ukraine and maintains ties with her Russian relatives.

In addition, Alexey's father, Petro Poroshenko, is under suspicion of treason for alleged coal trading with terrorists in the so-called DNR and LNR and participation in the theft from the "Samara-West" oil pipeline. During the war, Poroshenko continued to conduct business in Russia, paying taxes into the Russian budget and supporting the aggressor's army. Among his companies operating with Russia are the Lipetsk Confectionery Factory and "Bogdan Motors".

Previously, Poroshenko held the position of Minister of Economic Development in the Azarov-Yanukovych government and was one of the founders of the banned "Party of Regions", which supported the Kremlin regime. In addition, he was an active patron and parishioner of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, which supported the Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine.
