Setting a new world record
60-year-old American Glenwood Hoskin Jr has entered the Guinness Book of Records, demonstrating exceptional dedication to cinema. Over the course of a year, from April 2024 to April 2025, the man managed to watch 1,207 films, which became the basis for the official recognition of his achievement.
The financial aspect of the record challenge
To achieve such a result, Glenwood Hoskin Jr attended film screenings on average three times a day. The cost of tickets for him was minimal: thanks to an unlimited subscription, he spent only 28 US dollars per month. To save on additional expenses, the man brought food from home, avoiding purchases at the cinema.
The record holder's favourite films
Among the hundreds of films watched, the movies "The Wild Robot" and "Deadpool & Wolverine" occupied a special place in the American's memory, which he noted as the most memorable.
