Apple has introduced a hidden feature that scans users' personal photos and records the geolocation of the shots. This option has become active for everyone who updated their devices to iOS 18.1, according to ABP Live.

The process works as follows: images are sent to Apple's servers, where they are processed, and then returned with updated data. The company claims that this helps improve the accuracy of search in the photo library.

If you want to disable this feature, follow these steps:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to the Apps section.
3. Select Photos.
4. Find and disable the Advanced Visual Search option.
