Eight and a half months on the front line

The 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhtsians published photographs of soldiers from its motorized infantry battalion who had just returned from combat positions. The brigade captioned these images with the words: «Вісім з половиною місяців на позиціях — приклад мужності та стійкості» (Eight and a half months on positions — an example of courage and resilience).

First minutes after rotation

As reported by the unit, the process of leaving the positions lasted several days. The published photos were taken in the first minutes after this stage was completed. The frames show soldiers with long hair and thick beards, dressed in dirty uniforms and gear.

One of the shots captures the moment when one soldier is embraced by another serviceman. In other photographs, the infantrymen are smiling at the camera or having a conversation with each other.

Upcoming video story

The brigade noted that «про цей досвід можуть розповісти тільки вони» (only they can tell about this experience). Therefore, a short video story dedicated to the daily life of the infantrymen and the process of their rotation is planned for publication soon.

The post ends with a short sentence: «А далі був дзвінок додому» (And then there was a call home).
