Civilians conduct preliminary inspection of premises

Head of the Presidential Office Budanov reported that civilian representatives managed to gain access to the building where military personnel were illegally detained in the Petropavlivska Borshchahivka area. According to him, more than 10 people entered the premises, asked a series of questions, and received answers. Currently, efforts are underway at the scene to organise the evacuation of a bus carrying mobilised individuals requiring medical assistance for their delivery to a hospital.

Statement on the scale of the problem

One of those present asked the head of the Presidential Office why such facilities operate in the state and why information about their activities is hidden from the public. Budanov replied that «таких будівель багато» (“there are many such buildings”). He promised that the following day would see a review of issues regarding the reasons for the existence of these structures, what is happening inside them, and the reasons for the special detention centres.

Incident involving a police car

In addition, Budanov addressed those present with a proposal to remove a police car that was obstructing traffic. «Мужики, подходите, бл*дь, машину толкнем» (“Guys, come here, f*ck, let’s push the car”), the head of the Presidential Office said in Russian.
