Modernisation of sports infrastructure

Hryhorii Kozlovskyi, founder of football club "Rukh", has joined the renovation of the sports base of the "Mriya" educational and rehabilitation centre, located on Lysenko Street in the centre of Lviv. With his support, the centre's residents received a modern football pitch equipped with a new artificial surface, an efficient drainage system, and updated lighting. In addition to the infrastructure, the children were presented with "Rukh" club kit, allowing them to comfortably engage in their favourite sport.

Quick response to the request

Hryhorii Kozlovskyi stated that he was informed about the need for the pitch reconstruction by representatives responsible for the children's development. After receiving the information, the football club promptly began work, and the necessary measures were completed in a short period.

"It is a difficult time now, there is a war in the country, so we want to create a holiday for the children even in such difficult realities, so that there is a bright episode in their lives and they become happier. If any of these children grow up and become a professional footballer in the future, it will be twice as pleasant for us," – noted "Rukh" founder Hryhorii Kozlovskyi.

Official opening of the pitch

The ceremony of the updated pitch opening began with a ribbon-cutting. The event was attended by Hryhorii Kozlovskyi, project initiator Olha Vytak, "Mriya" centre director Halyna Pyrch, and a centre resident Larysa Shandor. Immediately after the official part, the new pitch was tested in action: Hryhorii Kozlovskyi, together with centre resident Mykola Nazyn, took the first symbolic shot at the ball.

Social aspect of the project

The updated sports zone serves not only for training but is also a space for communication, physical activity, and socialisation. The "Mriya" educational and rehabilitation centre educates 235 children with special educational needs, including orphans and children deprived of parental care. The facility also hosts internally displaced persons from regions affected by the war.

Centre head Halyna Pyrch emphasised that the new pitch will help children spend their time more actively, develop, and interact with one another. According to her, football promotes communication, openness, and adaptation to the social environment.

Strategic cooperation with "Rukh" Academy

Hryhorii Kozlovskyi noted that the cooperation between "Rukh" and the "Mriya" centre goes beyond the simple reconstruction of the pitch. The parties signed a memorandum providing for training sessions with "Rukh" Academy coaches and children attending the team's matches. This will give the residents the opportunity not only to play football but also to get to know professional sport better.

Position of the project initiator

Olha Vytak, President of the National Team of Journalists, who told Hryhorii Kozlovskyi about the need to update the pitch, highlighted the club's prompt response. According to her, the work was completed in a few weeks, and the new sports space became an important gift for children who have long supported "Rukh".

"I want to thank Hryhorii Kozlovskyi and football club "Rukh", who quickly reacted to our request. As soon as they heard about the problem, they immediately came, inspected everything, and got to work. We discussed what needed to be done and what materials were necessary for it. In fact, all the work was completed in a few weeks, so now orphaned children and children with special needs can professionally engage in football," – noted Olha Vytak.

Context: development of "Rukh" Academy
