OpenAI unveils AI agent Operator: a new level of assistance with online tasks
The company OpenAI, known for its revolutionary product ChatGPT, has announced the release of its first AI agent, named Operator. This tool is capable of interacting with websites in the same way a human does, mimicking mouse and keyboard actions.
Users can now assign various tasks to the agent, ranging from ordering groceries online to booking a table at a restaurant. Operator launches a cloud browser and independently performs all necessary actions, simplifying interaction with online services.
If personal data, such as a login and password, needs to be entered during the process, or if difficulties arise, the agent will hand control over to the user. The user can also take control of the process at any time.
At present, Operator is exclusively available to ChatGPT Pro subscribers residing in the US.
