Rise in far-right support amid public discontent
The intensification of protest sentiments in France has shifted electoral preferences in favour of Marine Le Pen, leader of the National Rally party. According to polling data published by Bild, her rating rose from 32% to 36% in three weeks. This surge occurred against the backdrop of unrest in the country. It is worth noting that Le Pen also advocates for ending aid to Ukraine.
Dynamics of other candidates' indicators
Left-wing leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who expressed support for the protesters, also demonstrated a slight increase in support. His rating rose from 16% to 16.5%, allowing him to take second place in the candidate rankings.
The situation for representatives of the centrist and centre-left camp was different: their support declined. Former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe's rating fell from 14% to 12%. Gabriel Attal, the candidate from the party of incumbent President Emmanuel Macron, lost part of his electorate, with his figures standing at 5%. Centre-left representative Raphaël Glucksmann currently has 13.5% support.
Forecasts for the second round of voting
Analytical scenarios for the second round of the elections indicate Marine Le Pen's dominance over all possible opponents. According to forecasts, in a confrontation with Jean-Luc Mélenchon, she could receive 68% of the votes. In the event of a second round against Édouard Philippe, her lead would be 56%, against Raphaël Glucksmann — 57%, against Gabriel Attal — 58%, and against François Hollande — 59%.
It is important to emphasise that the figures cited are based on the results of sociological polls and model forecasts, not on actual voting results.
