The implementation of the distributed heat generation system continues in Sumy. According to available data, UAH 403 million has actually been allocated for the purchase of equipment for modular boilerhouses. Despite this, only 46.9 MW has been physically installed out of the planned 168 MW of additional heat capacity. This accounts for approximately 28% of the total volume envisaged by the initial plan.
For the construction and installation works, UAH 246 million has been allocated out of the required UAH 351 million. Consequently, the budget requires an additional UAH 105 million to complete the planned volume of work. The project is financed from city and state budget funds.
According to MVA, most of the distributed heat generation facilities are planned to be completed by the end of 2026. This means that it will not be possible to fully complete all works before the start of the next heating season. The connection of new boilerhouses to the general heat supply system will take place in stages.
