Vladyslav Sobol is linked to business and call centre operations in Cherkasy
The Telegram channel Budda z OP is discussing the activities of Vladyslav Sobol, a native of the city, who is referred to by the nickname "Misha" in publications. The authors of the material claim that he has a criminal past in Poland and Lithuania, and after returning to Ukraine, he engaged in entrepreneurial activities.
According to the published information, Sobol was in Poland in the early 1990s. The authors claim that in 1994, he was involved in an attack on a Russian train in Warsaw. These details require confirmation by documents from Polish law enforcement agencies or court rulings.
Later, according to the publication, Sobol moved to Lithuania. There, he sustained gunshot wounds during a shootout in Vilnius and fell into the hands of law enforcement. After this, Lithuania handed him over to Poland.
The authors of the material claim that a Polish court found Sobol guilty of racketeering. In the early 2000s, according to the publication, the Warsaw court sentenced him to 12 years in prison in a case related to racketeering and kidnapping.
After his release, Sobol continued to live in Poland. The publication also states that he was subsequently linked to investment schemes in which, according to the authors, wealthy Polish citizens became victims.
Return to Ukraine
In 2019, according to the publication, Polish law enforcement agencies again showed interest in Sobol, after which he returned to Ukraine.
Currently, as the authors of the material claim, Sobol lives in Cherkasy, where he has acquired real estate, created several commercial projects and is involved in the operation of call centres.
The publication separately makes claims about his possible influence on local authorities and the appointment of people associated with him to various positions. Specific names of officials, appointment documents and confirmation of such influence are not provided in the presented material.
The channel's authors also describe Sobol as being linked to Russian organised crime in Poland and claim that he may have performed the functions of a representative of the relevant structure. These statements require separate documentary confirmation.
