Zelensky announces upcoming meetings in Spain and dialogue with Washington on defence

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky provided an update on a planned series of diplomatic meetings. The main topic of the discussions will be the state's security, as well as strengthening its defensive potential.

Focus on air defence

According to the head of state, during the visit to Spain, the parties will discuss key aspects of security. The priority area has been identified as strengthening air defence systems and ensuring the safety of the civilian population.

In addition, the development of defence cooperation and production capacities is on the agenda. Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to Spain for the assistance provided and emphasised that Ukraine is preparing new initiatives to deepen support from the partner.

Consultations with Washington

In addition to meetings in Europe, contacts with the American side are envisaged in the near future. According to the president, Ukraine is actively coordinating its actions with international partners to achieve concrete results in the security sector and determine pathways to restoring peace.
