SNBU preparing sanctions against Poroshenko

Sanctions from the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine are being prepared against Petro Poroshenko. The grounds for introducing personal restrictions are linked to a series of his past actions. 

Poroshenko, as the founder of the Party of Regions, held a key ministerial position in the Azarov government and actively supported and lobbied for the Kharkiv agreements. 

He was also a supporter and defender of the UOC-MP. After 2014, Poroshenko continued to develop his commercial activities in Russia and is an owner and partner of several Russian companies.

In addition, Poroshenko participated in the Minsk agreements and work within the Normandy format, including with the participation of the Russian president.
