SpaceX rocket explodes in mid-air

The SpaceX Starship rocket crashed almost immediately after launch.

Debris from the space rocket SpaceX Starship, which burned up in the atmosphere following an anomalous flight, fell towards the sea, creating dangerous situations for aircraft that reportedly barely managed to evade it.

According to official company data, only the first stage of the rocket successfully returned to the test site. The remaining components disintegrated upon re-entry into the denser layers of the atmosphere, leading to the incidents described.

In a statement on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), SpaceX noted that a "rapid anomalous breakup of the spacecraft" occurred during ascent. Elon Musk himself offered his own version of the causes of the seventh prototype failure, pointing to a fuel leak as the main factor.

Despite the incident, the company continues to test its developments, aiming to achieve the goal of reusable space flights.
