Proposal for an age limit on departure

Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Andrii Onistrat has put forward an initiative to introduce restrictions on leaving the country for Ukrainian boys starting from the age of 15. This idea is based on observations of demographic changes in the education system.

Reasons for the proposed changes

According to Onistrat, there is a noticeable decrease in the number of male students in the upper grades of Ukrainian schools. He links this to decisions by some families to take their children out of the state. In the serviceman's opinion, this trend needs to be stopped urgently to avoid the loss of an entire younger generation for the country.

Status of the initiative and current legislation

It is important to note that this is exclusively Andrii Onistrat's personal position, not a decision adopted by government authorities. Currently, existing regulations allow Ukrainian males under the age of 18 to leave the country in accordance with established rules.
