Suspension of visitor intake at the capital's office

Internet provider "Mereja Lanet" has changed the operating format of its Customer Service Centre in Kyiv. According to the company's official statement published on social media, physical client intake at the facility has been temporarily suspended.

The press service of "Mereja Lanet" emphasised that this decision was made solely for security reasons. The company highlighted the need to ensure the protection of both its own employees and visitors.

"The operation of the Mereja Lanet Customer Service Centre in Kyiv has been temporarily suspended. This decision was made for the safety of our employees and Centre visitors," the company stated.

Transition to remote communication channels

Despite the closure of the office for physical visits, the core activities of the internet provider have not changed. The company continues to provide services in its usual mode. Clients can receive consultations, resolve technical issues, and use other services through online tools and available remote communication channels.

Currently, "Mereja Lanet" has not specified a date for resuming the operations of the Customer Service Centre in Kyiv. Company representatives promised to announce separately when they return to the previous operating format.

Context: damage to telecom sector infrastructure

These changes are taking place against the backdrop of recent incidents affecting the capital's telecommunications infrastructure. On 27 September, a building housing the main office of mobile operator "Kyivstar" was damaged as a result of a morning attack on Kyiv.

The "Kyivstar" press service confirmed the damage and reported that no employees were injured and are safe. Preliminary data indicates that the strike was directed specifically at the operator's administrative building.

In the conditions of a full-scale war, the telecommunications industry has become critical, as mobile connectivity, internet access, business operations, and digital services depend on its stable functioning. "Kyivstar," which positions itself as Ukraine's largest telecom operator, particularly emphasises the resilience of its network during wartime.
