Lubinets, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, who is accompanying the process of repatriating citizens, provided an update on the current status of the transport. Currently, the evacuees are transferring from Belarusian transport to Ukrainian buses to cross the border.
Lubinets noted that during the removal of people from Oleshky, as well as during the transfer from Anapa airport to Gomel, the Russian side did not carry out any filtering. Mobile phones of those citizens who decided to return to Ukraine were also not checked.
The final number of people repatriated will be officially announced after the data verification is completed.
