Michal: Estonia will not stay silent on the threat from Russia while the Kremlin kills Ukrainians

Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal emphasised that his country does not intend to remain silent about the existence of the Russian threat while Russia continues to kill Ukrainians.

Reaction to Washington's initiatives

This position was a response to information about a possible attempt by the United States to persuade the Baltic states to soften their statements towards the Kremlin. Michal stressed that the West must not weaken, but rather intensify pressure on Russia and continue its resolute support for Ukraine.

Diplomatic risks

At the same time, concerns are being voiced among Estonian diplomats that overly sharp public statements could complicate cooperation with international partners.
