Traffic restrictions on Dnipro crossings

According to Kyiv-based Telegram channels, traffic on all bridges across the Dnipro in the capital has begun to be fully blocked during air raid alerts. No official statements from government representatives confirming this information have been issued so far.

Previous experience with restrictions

Meanwhile, it is known that traffic restrictions were already implemented in Kyiv following a nighttime strike by the Russian Federation. At that time, traffic was closed on the Southern Bridge, Paton Bridge, and Metro Bridge. This indicates that security measures at the crossings had been applied previously, although not on the scale of all bridges simultaneously.

Decision of the Defence Council

On 2 October, the Kyiv Defence Council discussed the organisation of traffic across the city's crossings. As a result of the discussion, the city authorities submitted their proposals to the central state authorities. The Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA) did not disclose the specific content of the proposed decisions.
