Five people, including a four-year-old child, were injured as a result of last night’s Russian strike on the Osnovyanskyi district of Kharkiv. A massive fire broke out at the site of the attack, where a drone hit the buildings, covering an area of 2,500 square metres.

Scale of destruction

Due to the drone impact, fire engulfed several facilities: both multi-storey and private residential buildings, as well as outbuildings and an industrial building, were burning. Other multi-storey buildings, garages, and cars were also damaged.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine released photographs from the epicentre of the incident. The photos show massive flames and buildings engulfed in fire.

Rescue operations

DSNS rescuers, together with other emergency services, continue to work at the scene of the attack, mitigating the consequences of the shelling. It is worth noting that these operations are being carried out under the threat of repeated Russian strikes.

Psychologists from the emergency service are providing psychological support to residents affected by this attack.
