Change in preventive measure conditions

On 29 October, the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) announced a decision regarding Serhiy Kropyva, the former deputy head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Prosecutor General's Office. The court adjusted the bail amount for him, reducing it from 120 million to 93 million hryvnias.

New financial requirement and detention period

According to the ruling, the exact bail amount for Serhiy Kropyva is 93.184 million UAH. Along with this decision, the court extended the detention period for Kropyva, as well as for two other suspects in this case, by a further 60 days.

Separate bail amounts were also determined for the other defendants in the case: 11.7 million UAH for the lawyer, and 15 million UAH for the third suspect.

Suspects' obligations

In the event that bail is posted, the suspects are obliged to comply with a number of procedural rules. These include mandatory appearance upon summons from investigators, prosecutors, and the court, as well as informing law enforcement agencies of any change in place of residence or work.

In addition, individuals are prohibited from discussing the circumstances of the case with a defined circle of persons. The suspects must surrender their passports and other documents granting the right to leave Ukraine and return to it for safekeeping, as well as wear an electronic monitoring device.
