Damage to an energy facility in Zhytomyr region has exacerbated problems with electricity and water supply in Kyiv. This was stated by the capital's mayor, Vitali Klitschko.

Reduced water pressure and network disruptions

According to the city mayor, the accident led to a deterioration in the city's power situation, as well as a drop in pressure in the water supply networks. To minimise the consequences, the Kyivvodokanal enterprise is switching pumping stations to generator power where possible.
