On 27 October 2026, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal issued a ruling in case No. 580/6408/26, initiated by Mykola Chystyk. The panel of judges, comprising Mykhailo Kobal, Volodymyr Kuzmenko, and Yuriy Cherpak, reviewed the appeal filed by the political party "For the Future".
The party had challenged the ruling of the Cherkasy District Administrative Court dated 18 June 2026, which had adopted measures to secure the claim in a case concerning the recognition of decisions on the recall of deputies as unlawful and their cancellation. During the hearing, the court quickly moved through the procedural stages, proceeding to the debates and immediately adopting the final decision.
The appeal filed by the "For the Future" party was dismissed, and the first-instance court's ruling on securing the claim was left unchanged. The decision entered into legal force from the moment it was pronounced. The presiding judge announced the existence of a dissenting opinion by judge Volodymyr Kuzmenko regarding the adopted decision.
This decision is a continuation of the ongoing confrontation between Uman Mayor Iryna Pletnyova and People's Deputy Anton Yatsenko, who is acting in conjunction with the "For the Future" party. Previously, journalists from "Stop Corruption TV" investigated the chronology of attempts to remove the city head via a so-called "popular initiative". According to registry data and testimony from members of the Territorial Electoral Commission, the assistants of the People's Deputy are likely behind these actions.
Thus, attempts to strip the mandates of elected community representatives through party congresses have once again failed in the legal sphere. The "Stop Corruption TV" filming crew was present at the court hearing and will continue to monitor the course of events in the city.
It is worth noting that journalists from "Holos Info" also drew attention to the progress of the court case regarding Dmytro Kalancha and the actions of prosecution representatives supporting the indictment.
