Participation in the 25th Berlin Security Conference
On 3 November, President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke at the 25th Berlin Security Conference. During his address, the head of state touched upon a number of critical issues: the potential reduction of the United States' role in the world order, the challenges posed by Russia to the European region, the prospects for international alliances, and the development of advanced military technologies.
Zelensky paid particular attention to the topics of countering missile and drone attacks and the need to strengthen Germany's position in the European security system.
Address to European partners
The Ukrainian leader emphasised that the military threat from the Russian Federation is not limited to Ukrainian territory. According to him, the scale of the military infrastructure that Moscow has been building in recent years points to preparations for a broader conflict.
«Ми бачимо, що росія вже визначилася. Вона вирішила, що мирна і об’єднана Європа - її ворог. І це не те, що просто зникне за рік... Погляньте на військову інфраструктуру, яку росія розбудовувала останніми роками. Невже все це - лише заради України? Цього занадто багато для однієї країни - для України. Це спрямовано проти вас» (We see that Russia has already made up its mind. It has decided that a peaceful and united Europe is its enemy. And this is not something that will simply disappear in a year... Look at the military infrastructure that Russia has been building in recent years. Is all of this just for Ukraine? That is too much for one country – for Ukraine. It is directed against you), Zelensky stressed.
